Summer Boot Camps
All of our summer programs and enrichment classes are private, one-on-one learning experiences. Your child does not have to compete with other students in a classroom setting, nor with another child’s strengths and weaknesses. This is all about your student and his/her tutor. Sessions are conducted in-home, at Generation Think offices, or via Zoom depending on your schedule and your tutor’s schedule. You can meet once or twice a week depending on your child’s summer availability. We can hand pick the schedule that works best for you!
Summer boot camps can be Language Arts/ reading comprehension focused, writing focused, math focused or a combination! Our math boot camps have been re-named our Z-Scores Boot Camps™️ because, as Kelly explains:
"A Z-Score is a statistical measure used to indicate how much above or below your data is from the mean. A Z-score can reveal if a student’s score or grade is typical for a specified data set, or if it is atypical. I re-named our math boot camps after this statistical measure because each and every math concept has three different curriculum packets/levels—a curriculum dedicated to students below the mean meant for “CATCH UP” concepts, a curriculum packet for students holding steady at the mean meant for “KEEP UP” of learned concepts, and an upper-level curriculum aimed at students well above the mean who are ready to “GET AHEAD” in concept development.
